Associate Attorney Jennifer Short joined Cooper, Adel, Vu & Associates, LPA in 2024, bringing a wealth of legal experience to the firm. Attorney Short is passionate about working one-on-one with our clients to explain the planning options available to them. She is committed to making them aware of the potential impact of their decisions on their ability to live comfortably in retirement and on their families when they pass away.
Attorney Short was the litigation supervisor and compliance consultant for a major insurance company where she was responsible for mediation and complex litigation. In her prior career, she analyzed insurance regulations, responded to regulatory agencies on compliance matters and was part of the team developing new types of insurance policies. Before joining the firm, Jennifer was an estate planning attorney working directly with clients on estate documents, LLCs, pre-nuptial agreements and contract reviews.
Jennifer grew up in Springfield, Ohio, and later in Upper Arlington, Ohio. After obtaining her B.A. from The Ohio State University, Jennifer spent several years in the Washington D.C. and Baltimore Maryland area. She later returned to Columbus to be close to her family. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her extended family and friends. She enjoys traveling inside and outside of the United States, particularly ‘foodie’ travel.
