Senior Associate Attorney Elaine Brooks joined Cooper, Adel, Vu & Associates, LPA as an Associate Attorney in 2023. Elaine was promoted in May 2024 recognizing her contributions in developing a new area of planning, Business Services, for our clients, as well as superior client relationships.

Elaine leads our Business Services area, assisting our clients who are small business owners (including farms, rentals and other business entities) with entity formation and business and succession planning.

As a member of our Trust Team, Elaine’s role is to guide you through the planning process, taking into consideration your unique concerns about your family, your health, and your assets. Helping you understand how your plan works for you to protect your assets through illness, incapacity, and death is the key to real peace of mind.

Attorney Brooks received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. She is a member of the Dayton Bar Association Estate Planning & Probate Section and the Ohio State Bar Association Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Section. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio.

Elaine’s broad professional experience includes a diverse law background having practiced both corporate and real estate law as well as criminal prosecution. Elaine started her career as a CPA with Deloitte before attending law school. She also gained an appreciation of the value and demands of owning a small business helping her husband manage and run a local distributorship located in the Dayton area.

Elaine resides in Beavercreek with her family and two dogs. In addition to her husband, she also has three children. Her oldest is an elementary school teacher in Springboro and a graduate of Miami of Ohio. Her son just graduated from The Ohio State University and will soon begin his professional career with Hershey Corporation. Her youngest is a current student at Ohio State. Elaine is active in her local church and volunteers at a local clothing outreach. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and playing games with her family.
