“Being able to guide a family through difficult and stressful times and to make their lives easier is the most fulfilling part of my job.”
Associate Attorney Andrew Kizewic began his career with Cooper, Adel, Vu & Associates, LPA in 2019 after graduating from The University of Toledo College of Law and passing the Ohio Bar Examination.
Andrew has been described as “caring” and “results-oriented” in his dealings with our clients. His position with the firm gives him the opportunity to work with families in crisis, whether it be a healthcare crisis or the death of a loved one. Often, people are unaware of the perils of passing away without a plan or updating their plan as their circumstances change. Andrew’s role is to make the family aware of and to guide them through the steps necessary to apply for benefits if their loved one is facing a nursing home situation or to settle the estate if their loved one has passed away.
Attorney Kizewic graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The University of Toledo. He received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Toledo College of Law. All through school, Andrew worked at York Automotive Group as a Marketing Specialist, with an emphasis on social media. He served as a legal intern and as a law clerk while in Law school. His experience in these positions included a broad view of the law from real estate law to personal injury and contracts.
Andrew is from Sylvania, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo, where he has lived his entire life until taking his position with Cooper, Adel, Vu & Associates. He loves to spend time with family and friends at sporting events and concerts. Golf is his sport of choice these days.

To help clients understand and get through complex issues and to make their lives easier.
Why did you decide to practice Estate Planning & Elder Law?
End of life planning and probate matters are always difficult for clients and their families. It is extremely rewarding to be able to assist them through these times and make a complicated process run as smoothly as possible.
Why did you decide to come to Cooper, Adel, Vu?
The level of experience, expertise and knowledge of the staff attracted me to the Firm. I feel that we can therefore provide our clients with the breadth and depth of knowledge needed to make a comprehensive plan that is tailored to their individual situation.
What do you love about helping the people of Ohio?
The people of Ohio are resilient and humble. They work hard all their lives so it’s a great feeling to be able to put their minds at ease that their estates will be handled according to their wishes.
What is unique about the Firm?
All of your legal, tax and investment planning can be done, if you wish and if it matches your situation, at the same location, with a team that works well together for your benefit. Of course, the 3 Certified Elder Law attorneys are a great plus. I also appreciate that there is a single fee that covers lifetime upkeep of the trusts and documents we prepare for our clients.
Who are your clients?
My clients are children and spouses of loved ones who have passed away. I also work with the elderly and their families as they determine the best way to pay for long term care while saving as much of their hard-earned money as possible.
What do your clients mean to you?
Clients are our #1 priority. It means everything to us to be able to help them through difficult times and also to help those they leave behind. I hope to make the tedious Probate process as smooth and expeditious as possible. For those with long term care issues, I hope to help them develop a plan to continue to live comfortably.
Why do clients need to consult with you?
The probate process is complex and detail-oriented, requiring specific knowledge to be able to comply with all of the regulations, paperwork and deadlines involved.
